18:30 Distribution of race numbers
19:00 Final check of race packs and gear
19:30 An Open Pasta Night - on the house at “the Grill-Faqra (walking distance from T3)
A nice occasion gathering all contestants to get them acquainted with one another, and mostly to beef up their physical performance with all the carbohydrates they can eat!
- Saturday March 8th, 2008 - The Big Day
06:00 Wake up call at T3 Lodge Faqra
06:45 Breakfast at T3 Lodge
08:00 Competitors gather at start line: main road above Faqra Church
08.30 Final call for any absent competitors
08:40 National anthem (courtesy of the Lebanese Armed Forces)
09:00 Mass start of the PDC ‘08 (Civilian and Military Patrols start together)
11.30 First patrols start coming in to Faqra club for the final leg of the race
• Fruits/Snacks stop
14:00 First unofficial results posting on the Race bulletin board near Start – Finish
- Evening of Saturday March 8th, 2008 -
End-of-race Celebration
19:30 Announcement of results and distribution of medal prizes to the winning teams.
A complimentary evening of festivities and entertainment at Grill Restaurant - Faqra will then follow to close the first successful edition of the PDC in Lebanon.
- Sunday March 9th, 2008:
1st Excursion with
Lebanese Adventure*
Hiking trip in the valley of Qadisha (inscribed on the UNESCO
World Heritage list)
- Monday March 10th, 2008:
2nd Excursion with
Lebanese Adventure*
Visit to the grotto of Roueiss in the Aqoura region -
Northern Lebanon
